You might not find a bank right away that has a checking account without chexsystems, but eventually you will be able to find one. There is a decreasing number of banks that do not use chexsystems, and I have notice that people are having better chances with getting a new checking account with Credit Unions. There are also banks out there that have a checking account program that offers a new checking account for people despite the fact that they are on Chexsystems. So if you are having a hard time finding local banks that have a checking account without chexsystems, then your next bet could be to find a local bank that has a second chance program. A lot of banks are offering the ability to apply for a new bank account on the internet, so that right there will save a lot of time for you. Simply just fill in your application online and see if it goes through. Some people have said that Union Bank of California does not use chexsystems, but instead, they do a credit check. I am not sure about how accurate that is, but I tried applying there and failed a while ago. I had a much easier time getting a checking account without chexsystems from a credit union. At first, I thought that it was hard to qualify for a credit union because they have requirements to be a member of the credit union. A lot of credit unions will allow you to have an account if you simply live in the same county. So if you have credit unions around you that you can apply for a checking account online, you should give it a try. If you can land a checking account without chexsystems, you should be able to get a regular checking account without restrictions. I do know that banks that have a second chance program will not give you full access. For example, they will take days longer to cash your checks.

There are a number of banks out there that do not use chexsystems. There is also a number out there who do use chexsystems, but they offer a second chance program for people to open a new checking account. For the most part, you should be looking for banks that are close to you so you can open a new checking account. The reason is because if you can find a bank that does not use chexsystems that is local, you can go into the bank and handle all of your deposits. If you are not able to find a non chexsystems bank, then you are going to have to settle for a bank that is further away from you. Do not worry though, because you can easily deposit money into your account. The easiest way to put money into an account that is not close to you is to set up direct deposit from your job. A lot of places have ATMs all over the place, and you can also use your debit card to take money out.

Some people have said that they were able to get a new checking account with a bank that was a Credit Union. There are a number of Credit Unions that do use chex systems, but there are still a number that do not. If you can qualify to join a Credit union (not everyone can qualify for one), then you should give it a shot. If you do not want to be embarrassed if you get denied because you are applying in person, then you can find banks that will let you apply for a new account online. That way, you find out if your account was approved, and you do not have to be embarrassed by getting denied from someone in person.

If you are having problems with getting a checking account or a bank account in general, it is probably because your name is on the Chexsystems List. In that case, there are two things you want to start doing. First thing is you want to get a bank account with non chexsystems banks. The banks that are denying you an account are checking your background on Chexsystems, so in order to get around that, you need to apply at the banks that do not use it. The second thing you need to do is start working towards getting your name off of the chex systems list. Your name is going to be on that list for 5 years, and having your name on the list is no fun. Basically, you are going to need to pay your debts that you owe to your old banks. Once you do that, you can ask your bank if they will kindly remove your name from the chexsystems list. Not all banks will do this, and if they do not then your next step is going to be to dispute your claim through Chex Systems, Inc. That is the company that handles all of the information banks give them. Disputing all of this through chexsystems will take time, at the very least 30 days. That is also assuming that everything that is preventing you from opening an account on that report is either an error or paid off. So remember to keep focus on finding non chexsystems banks soon so you can start using a bank account again. There are a lot of banks that do not use chexsystems in California, Texas, Nevada, and all the other states. For the most part, all of the big banks are going to be looking at the chexsystems list when you apply for a bank account. Although it is not verified, it is possible that Union Bank of California does not use chexsystems, but instead they apparently check your credit report. Approximately 20% of the total banks out there do not use Chex Systems when processing your account. Smaller banks like credit unions are a majority of that number. You can also apply online to get a new checking account. Another option is to go with a financial institution that offers guaranteed checking accounts. Usually these banks will charge a fee around 8 dollars a month to give you a guaranteed checking account, so if you do not want to spend some time applying for checking accounts, you can cut to the chase and apply for a guaranteed checking account. Your highest chances of getting a free checking account is to apply with the non chexsystems banks.

A non Chex Systems bank is not going to check the list to see if you have had a bad credit history with a checking account. Although Chex Systems is a very popular tool for banks to use to do a background check on potential customers, it does not mean that all banks use it. Some banks will simply not check at all, or some banks would pull a credit check instead. Most all of the large banks use Chex Systems, and as you have already experienced, it is not good to be on this list. To make life easier while on the Chex System list, you should first start out by getting a new checking account. There are a lot of non Chex Systems banks where you can apply for a new checking account online. Make sure you compare some of the different checking accounts before you decide on one. The more well known the bank is, the better off for you. After you get a new checking account with a non Chex System bank, your next goal is to have your name removed from the list. If you do not do anything, your name will stay on Chex Systems for a full 5 years. Chex Systems, which is the company, can give you a free copy of what your report looks like. If there are any errors on this report, you should dispute it right away. It will take approximately 30 days for them to respond to you with a letter. If everything on your Chex Systems report is correct, you should start working on paying your debt back. Some banks will actually negotiate and work with you if you are not able to pay the full amount back. You want to pay your debt off and ask for them to remove your name from the Chex Systems list.

When looking for a non Chex Systems bank, it is best to apply for accounts online if you cannot find a local bank that does not use Chex Systems. If you can, it is always a good idea to have more than one bank account just in case you have another mistake. Although the last thing you want to happen is lose another checking account, it is just a smart idea to always have bank accounts at different banks.
